Franco-Benoni Defence

[edit | edit source]

The Franco-Benoni Defence, also known as Franco-Sicilian Defence is a rarely seen opening and can be considered surprising. Nf3 transposes into a Sicilian Defence line whereas d5 transposes into a Benoni-styled line.
