[edit | edit source]This move attacks the bishop, but it allows 3...Bxf2+!, a sacrifice, which leads to wild complications favouring Black after 4. Kxf2 Qh4+ 5. Ke3 Qf4+ 6. Kd3 d5, as in the famous Immortal Draw game between Hamppe and Meitner.
