Objectively White's best move, 4. Nf3 blocks the bishop and queen's double attack on f2 and develops a piece. Here Black usually plays 4...Nc6 developing a piece and preparing ...Nd4 themselves (this is long-term as the knight on f3 currently defends d4), and the position is roughly equal, although White could have had a more fun game if 4. Nc3!? was tried instead...
