Caro-Kann Defence - Advance Variation

[edit | edit source]

In the limited number of games this has been played in serious chess, it's invariably ended in defeat for black. It wastes a tempo, and not in line with conventional Caro-Kann strategy for black. White simply carries on developing, either by castling, or bringing the knight out.
