[edit | edit source]This move is a perfectly reasonable move, often favored by Najdorf players to avoid some move-order tricks like 2...Nc6 3.Nf3 when White firmly avoids the Najdorf, but has the downside that ...d5 would cost a tempo since Black has already played ...d6.
