2. e4!? · Reversed open game
[edit | edit source]Play reaches the same position as after 1.e4 e5, the Open game, but with Black to move. This is an irregular way to play where White concedes the first move advantage, perhaps because they really wanted to play the Black side.
From here any of the typical Open game positions can be reached, but with colours reversed.
