[edit | edit source]A flexible developing move. While this move usually leads to a Queen's Gambit, it is also used to go into a Colle System—a solid line that prepares e2-e4 earlier and can be more aggressive than the usual lines.
Black can develop a number of ways, though 2...Nf6 is most common due to its flexibility.
